French Toast and Breakfast Sausage Dipping Sticks

 1 Package Gianelli Pork Sausage Breakfast Links
 10 Slices of Sandwich Bread – Your preference on kind just be sure it is soft
 2 Eggs
 ¼ Cup Milk
 ½ tsp. Ground Cinnamon
 ¼ tsp. Vanilla Extract
 Butter/Oil for Greasing Skillet
 Maple Syrup of Choice for Dipping

Cook Sausage in frying pan or bake in the oven:

To Fry – Place sausage in frying pan over medium heat for approximately 20-30 minutes. Turn frequently. If sausage is sticking to the pan, add 1/8 inch water to pan, making sure not to bring water to boil. Internal temperature must reach 160°F.

To Bake – Place sausage in an oven ready (glass pan or broil foil) pan.  Preheat oven to 350 ℉.  Place sausage in oven for 20-25 minutes then. Turn once and then continue baking for another 20-25 minutes. Internal temperature must reach 160°F.

While sausage is cooking, remove the crust from the bread and flatten with your hands.

In a medium sized bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla together.

Over medium heat, grease skillet with butter or oil.

Individually roll each sausage into a slice of bread and dunk each into the egg mixture, completely coating. Let the excess drip off and place into skillet.

When the bottom of roll up is browned to satisfaction, turn with tongs to cook and brown on all sides.

*If desired, add strawberries, bananas or fruit of choice to top the dipping sticks.
