Governor Cuomo offers Gianelli Sausage in World Series bet

Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo have made a friendly wager on this years fall classic.

If the Mets win the World Series, Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon will don the Mets blue and orange to the office. And if the Kansas City Royals win the fall classic, Gov. Andrew Cuomo will wear their colors to work.

The two governors announced their wager late Sunday, and backed it up with a basket of local food items. Cuomo wagered hot sauce from Buffalo’s Anchor Bar, Gianelli Sausage from Syracuse, bagels from Queens, a bat from the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown and a half-dozen bottles of New York-made liquor.

Nixon wagered coffee, barbecued ribs and a commemorative jersey from the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in Kansas City.
